I’ve been writing and recording a trilogy since 2003. My 1st album ‘Play’ (2003) is a mixture of musical styles and spoken word. It follows a character through a story of escape, abuse, perceived class, religious stupidity, perversion, indulgence, depression and suicide…great fun.

There are two complementary albums to the story of ‘Play’ released under my name 'Ed Rome'......

Firstly to expand the abuse at work element in ‘Play’ (‘Progress’ track 2), I wrote a blues album ‘Diary of a Somebody’ (2005). This charts a day in the life in employment of the character.

Secondly the suicidal feelings of the character, in ‘Play’ (‘Dark’ track 10) have been expanded in an old school reggae album ‘A Life in Minutes’ (2007).

I’d like to thank all those musicians that have guested on these albums, namely Jim (drums), Bella (all saxes), Gary and Andy (trumpets). I'd also like to thanks Jah Claxton for ALL his design work on this website and artwork for the cd's and Dave W. for his help with paypal and Jim and Bella for help on mixing.
