On a Break.../New Album
We're on a break at the moment but after many boozey discussions we've decided that we've got enough unreleased sessions to make an album. Sessions include the London 2 tone sessions, trad Ska sessions in Billericay along with lost tracks from Tears at the Dover sessions (2003) and other odditys. It includes re records of songs that the band were never happy with, instrumental versions, unheard material and also includes the long awaited and many times requested release of Turning Japanese (The Vapours). We all still need to get together and record a few bits and pieces and decide when can do a mini tour in the nearish future to push the release so watch this space...
Whats everyone doing now?
Well...
Ed, Jim Drums and Bella Sax have formed The Connectors and have starting doin some festivals in warm up for the release and tour of Ed's old school Reggae album A Life In Minutes in October supporting the Easy Star all Stars, so
check it out.
As well as the Innocent Civilian stuff Ed has recorded a Blues album and is in talks with a record label and doing the odd gig with this, highlights so far include the 100 club supporting 60's RnB greats The Pretty Things, you can see the performance and here the album here.
We promise that it works if there is enough of whatever your tipple is in your blood... With others Jonny keys and Ed formed a folk collective whilst working away on a building site called Moody McPick. Joined later by Bella Sax they've done a few gigs and festivals around the southeast and had a proper laugh, have a
listen.
Dave has left us for world travel escapades and by all accounts loving it, you can see it all on their website.
The BiG have Spawned!
Gary Trumpet along with playing Drums for a Soul Band has been very busy... And we are glad to say that his work has paid offf and is due to be a father next year! Congrats.
